How can we help?

Simple answers to your most common questions.

The Basics

Is eSIM better than a physical SIM?

For travelers, yes! You don't have to wait for a card in the mail or find a shop at the airport. You can also keep your home SIM in your phone, so you don't lose it.

Does my phone need to be unlocked?

Yes. If your phone is locked to a specific carrier (like a contract phone), it won't let you add a new eSIM. You can usually ask your carrier to unlock it for you.

Using Your eSIM

When should I install the eSIM?

We recommend installing it a day before you travel while you have good Wi-Fi. Most plans only start when you connect to a network in Europe, so it won't waste your data.

What if I can't scan the QR code?

No worries! Every eSIM also comes with a "manual activation code" (a string of letters and numbers) that you can copy and paste into your settings.
